====== Oracle VirtualBox 6.1.34 Error E_FAIL (0x80004005) ======

Al vele jaren gebruik ik virtuele machines om eea te doen, wat ik niet op mijn fysieke machine wil doen. Maar om de een of andere reden is het ineens nodig om een foutmelding te geven. Ik heb geen idee waarom, maar we gaan het proberen op te lossen.

===== Foutmelding =====

  * Het is niet gelukt een sessie te openen voor virtuele machine Ubuntu Linux 22.04.
  * Implementation of the USB 2.0 controller not found!
  * Because the USB 2.0 controller state is part of the saved VM state, the VM cannot be started. To fix this problem, either install the 'Oracle VM VirtualBox Extension Pack' or disable USB 2.0 support in the VM settings.
  * Note! This error could also mean that an incompatible version of the 'Oracle VM VirtualBox Extension Pack' is installed (VERR_NOT_FOUND).
  * Resultaatcode: E_FAIL (**0x80004005**)

===== Oplossing =====

Na wat zoek op internet kwam ik onderstaande opslosing tegen die bij mij werkte. Oplossing die bij mij werkte was Hyper-Visor uitzetten:

  * Type "cmd" in het Windows zoek venster en start het commando scherm als administrator
  * Voer het volgende commando uit: bcdedit /set hypervisorlaunchtype off
  * Hertart de pc en test of het gewerkt heeft.
